Carthage War Elephant: WIP No.1

I like to knock out a few smaller, easier units in between painting and basing the large multi-figure units like the Scutarii or the Libyans that take a lot of time to finish  These little quick wins usually tend to be skirmishers, command bases, or in this case, a war elephant. As you can see the beast itself is nearing completion and the crew is waiting patiently nearby for their turn under the brush.

  1. Wondeful looking ellie! This will be a centerpiece of your army, I bet.

And I recognize that brush! The Raphael is my favorite and gets put to use almost every day!

    1. Thanks Ray. I think this will be a terrifying sight on the gaming table!

    1. Thanks! I'm getting excited to finish this up and base it in some interesting way. :)

  4. He looks great, but I'm not really all that excited that you have another one of these. The first one is trouble enough.

    1. Is there an antidote to Ellies in HC? In FoG, it's "get your javelinmen on him!" I'm banned from running Ellies as the Carthaginian player because I always throw a one and lose them the first time there is a death check.
